When Is Compromising a Losing Battle?

It's tough when you give your all and still get less than you deserve. I'm talking about the scenario where you're constantly making plans, offering support, and putting in the effort, but the other person's contributions don't match. At what point do you realize this cycle isn't sustainable? Is it about the balance of effort? Or is it about whether the relationship, in its current form, makes you feel valued? This isn't about one person being perfect; it's about whether the foundation is strong enough to build a future on. What are your experiences when you've recognized that the dynamic has become unfair?
