Are Indian women too independent for traditional marriage?

"Are Indian women too independent for traditional marriage?" We live in a time where women are breaking barriers, achieving new heights in their careers, and becoming financially independent. They're making their own decisions and shaping their own futures. This shift undeniably brings a new dynamic to the age-old institution of marriage. Here's what we're seeing: • Shifting Expectations: Women today often seek partners who are equals, not providers in the traditional sense. They want a partnership built on mutual respect, shared responsibilities, and emotional support. • Career vs. Marriage: Many women are hesitant to compromise their hard-earned careers or personal ambitions for marriage. The idea of putting a career on hold or sacrificing professional growth can be a significant deterrent. • Financial Autonomy: With financial independence comes the power to choose. Women are no longer solely reliant on marriage for security, allowing them to be more discerning about who they marry and under what terms. • Redefining Roles: Traditional gender roles within marriage are being questioned. Women are less willing to accept the sole burden of household chores and childcare, expecting a more equitable distribution of domestic labor. Does this increased independence make traditional marriage a less attractive prospect for some, or is it simply leading to a redefinition of what marriage means in modern India? What are your thoughts?
